Forty-seven Millburn High School students and graduates were recently named AP Scholars by the National College Board for their outstanding achievement on Advanced Placement Exams in the spring of 2009. The students had to earn grades of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams to win the award.

The honorees include:

Class of 2009: Quetzi Abramovitz, Daniel Barabander, Raffi Basralian, Anushka Chadha, Richard Chesler, Frederick Chu, Jeffrey Citron, Anna Feins, Doron Greenberg, Alexandra Kassirer, Michael Leonard, Ashley Lynette, Stephanie Manning, Samantha Meskin, Zoe Messinger, Stephanie Miller, Alexander Nuta, Michael Perchick, Margaret Regina, Kyle Scharf, Erik Schmidt, Asin Shatkh, Angelica Sohn, Joshua Tambor, David Thompson, Sarah Van Tassel, Zoe Weiss, Aobo Yu and Lea Zglobicki.

Class of 2010: Kerry Adler, Kelly Blumenthal, Eldridge Chan, Mary Cosgrove, Lauren Fine, Bryan Gonnella, Arbi Llaveshi, Malavika Madgavkar, Erika Paley, Shraya Ramani, Siddarth Ravishankar, Aliza Roth, Matthew Schlanger, Samuel Waters, Abby Weinstein, Arthur Woo and Michael Ye.

Class of 2011: Maxine Janerka

A total of 200 students and graduates from MHS earned AP Scholar Awards for 2009, including 34 Scholars with Honor and 119 Scholars with Distinction, of whom 47 were also National Scholars and one a State Scholar.
