Morgan Flyer and Francesca Zwang, members of Congregation B'nai Jeshurun in Short Hills, recently held a Bake Sale and Cupcake Contest at the temple, raising more than $1,000 for the National Military Family Association. That organization provides resources and support to spouses and children of the men and women serving our country.

The teens planned the fundraiser as their Mitzvah Project, a community service activity that is a crucial step for students who wish to become a Bar or Bat Mitzvah.

The Cupcake Contest winners were:  Best Tasting:  Julie Silberfein; Most Creative: Brittany & Danielle Zwang; Best Design: Amy Rosenberg & Janine Berg. It was judged by the lucky Rabbi Matthew Gewirtz, Senior Rabbi of Congregation B'nai Jeshurun.
