Carol E. Grosso of Millburn died on Mar. 4 in Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She was 85. Born in Newark, Grosso settled in Millburn 57 years ago. She worked as a secretary with JCP&L in Morristown for many years until her retirement. Grosso was active in the community as a member of St. Rose of Lima Church in Short Hills and a volunteer at the Papermill Playhouse in Millburn and New Eyes for the Needy in Short Hills. She was also appointed by Gov. Thomas Kean to be a volunteer advocate for residents of nursing homes. She was a vice president of the Mountainside chapter of Widows and Widowers, and an animal lover.
