Desales University has announced:

Daniel M. Maia of Millburn, NJ, recently graduated with a bachelor's of science in accounting and finance from DeSales University.

DeSales University held its mid-year commencement Saturday, January 21, in Billera Hall on the Center Valley campus. During the ceremony, Karen Doyle Walton, provost and vice president of academic affairs, conferred degrees upon 127 graduating students for January 2012, including 72 bachelor's and 55 master's.

In addition to the January 2012 degree recipients, DeSales awarded 218 degrees to students in September 2011, including 80 bachelor's and 138 master's. Because there is no formal ceremony in September, the September graduates may take part in the January commencement.

DeSales University, in Center Valley, Pa., is a private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts university affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church. Founded by the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales in 1965, the 480-acre suburban campus is located 50 miles north of Philadelphia and about 90 miles south of New York City. A total enrollment of nearly 3,000 includes undergraduate day and evening students and graduate students. DeSales offers more than 30 bachelor's degrees and seven graduate programs in a wide range of disciplines. The university also offers the ACCESS Program, the region's leading accelerated degree program for adults.
