Jesse Speno, the bar manager at Martini Bistro & Bar in Millburn, won first place in a mixology competition sponsored by Bombay Sapphire Gin and GQ Magazine on Aug. 9.  The Borgata Casino in Atlantic City hosted the event, in which bartenders competed to created outstanding new Bombay Sapphire cocktail recipes.  30 bartenders from across the state  joined the competition.
Speno's "Sunny Peach" cocktail won the gold medal and will be featured in the November issue of GQ.   Speno will go on to enter the Bombay Sapphire national competition in Las Vegas.
