Preparations Underway for Saturday's Rummage Sale
This past Sunday, Christ Church teens and adults braved weather conditions, including heavy snow drifts, to hold “Drop Off Sunday,” and gathered a bounty of furniture, electronic appliances, house wares, and clothing in preparation for the Christ Church Annual Rummage Sale scheduled for Saturday, February 5 at 9 am.
Despite the snow drifts, teens came out to help unload SUVs, cars, and trucks, and begin the long sorting and organizing process, which will continue all week. By next Saturday, the church’s Parish Hall, Offices, and Classrooms will be filled with neatly organized and priced treasures ranging from childrens’ toys and books to linens and housewares, to jewelry and antiques in the “Boutique.”
As co-chair of the Rummage Sale, Peggy Baggaley, puts it: “It may take a whole village to raise a child, but it takes a whole church to host this Rummage Sale.”
The Rummage Sale will be held at 9am, and no one will be admitted before then.
Proceeds from the Rummage Sale will be used to help fund the teens’ Mission Trip, as well as to support ministries in Northern New Jersey serving senior citizens.
