Anne Hathaway's Oscar Dress Mess
Anne Hathaway's co-star in "Les Miserables", Amanda Seyfried, may have derailed the Millburn graduate's plan for what to wear on the red carpet at the 2013 Academy Awards.
The 2013 Oscar ceremony is history but there's still buzz about what the stars wore on the red carpet and why.
Turns out Anne Hathaway's co-star in "Les Miserables," Amanda Seyfried, may have caused her to make a hasty last-minute gown selection change.
According to recent reports on Entertainment Wise, when Hathaway saw a photo of the gown Seyfried planned to wear Sunday, Hathaway made a last minute wardrobe change because the gowns were so similar.
Seyfried walked the carpet in a pale appliqued dress by British designer Alexander McQueen.
Hathaway said she was planning to wear a Valentino gown up until just three hours before the awards ceremony. She ended up wearing a pale pink Prada gown with chest darts that accentated her, um, nipples. Hathaway issued an apology about the gown controversy after the event.
Despite the last-minute wardrobe selection, Hathaway ended up winning her first Oscar award for best supporting actress for her role in "Les Miserables"
