After almost three months of renovations to repair the destruction caused by Hurricane Irene, Annie sez will be back in business on Saturday with a grand re-opening celebration and sale.

Irene shut down a lot of businesses for days, for weeks and some are still closed. Tinga is still in the reconstruction phase and businesses that were going to open in that building have been delayed.

Annie Sez tried to air out and stay open, but ultimately closed for renovations.

The refurbished store has brand-new blonde laminate flooring, new carpets, fixtures and lighting, updated dressing rooms, and a new cash wrap desk.

“Our customers are a loyal community of fashionable New Jersey women, and they missed us,” says Alan Mandelbaum, Chairman and CEO of Big M, Inc., the operating company of Annie sez.  “Though the store was very badly damaged during the hurricane, the encouraging messages from our customer base cheered us on during the re-construction phase.”

The first 100 shoppers who make a purchase will receive a free gift. Shoppers may also enter to win tickets to Irving Berlin's White Christmas at the Paper Mill Playhouse and a $100 gift Annie Sez card, according to a release from the Downtown Millburn Development Alliance.

Annie Sez will also be collecting coats for Jersey Cares and any customer who brings in a gently used coat to the Millburn store will recieve a 25 percent off coupon at the store.

Regular store hours on Saturday are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

On Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 11 a.m., the Millburn Mayor Sandra H. Haimoff will officiate at a ceremonial ribbon-cutting at the "new" store.
