With bake sale, Hartshorn kindergarten girls donate over $5,700 to Cookies For Kids' Cancer

More than two dozen Hartshorn kindergarten girls sold cookies in front of Splurge Bakery recently to raise money for Cookies For Kids' Cancer, a national charity that supports pediatric cancer research.

Cookies for Kids' Cancer was founded by the Witt Family, after their son, Liam, was diagnosed with a rare childhood cancer.  The first Annual Millburn Cookies for Kids' Cancer Event took place just one day after the day that Liam would have turned seven.

With the generous support of the community, the Hartshorn girls raised $2890.76 and Glad products is matching their donations for a total of $5781.52.  Donations continue to come in through the event website.

The event was co-sponsored by Summit Medical Group and Splurge Bakery.  The kindergarten girls wore T-shirts donated by Gotham. Jordan Elyse photographed the event.
