Celebrating the Day of the Dead at Tinga
Local kids decorated sugar skulls to celebrate the upcoming Mexican holiday.
To celebrate the upcoming la Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead in Spanish, Tinga Taqueria in downtown Millburn had free sugar skulls, or Calaveras, for kids to decorate on Wednesday. Not an unhappy holiday, the Mexican holiday is to remember and celebrate ancestors and to be with family. Many of the local schools participated and their handy work can be seen at Tinga until Nov. 3.
