it would be incredibly helpful to post which of the main thoroughfares in town are open or closed, not just that the path to st. b is open. old short hills road? parsonage hills, hobart (still closed amazingly), what else - open or close. try to think of things that we actually need in town. great news...the tappan zee bridge is open but we won't tell you if hobart gap road is open.....wahoo.

My wife just called from the SH Mall and said she had been told that Millburn had instituted a 6:00pm curfew and that they were clearing the mall. Anyone else heard anything like this?

I would guess that the curfew was put in place so that the Millburn Police Officers could stay in town watching over the residents instead of chasing after shoplifters.

Really the Short Hills Mall open?
For some reason I wouldn't think the mall was a high priority place but I do like giving everyone a chance to get out...oh wait that would mean using gas for the cars to get to the mall...Gas isn't an issue is it.../sarcasm. How about getting gas stations open or more grocery stores.

don't go to kings...if you do, you cannot get back into millburn easy..I went by route of Summit to 24 to maplewood! All because I wasn't allowed to make a U turn onto Morris Tpk back into Millburn...This is real smart! LOL...used more gas that I don't have. What a joke. The police need to route traffic correctly so that people do not use the bit of gas they have. Instead I was told to give the police officer a break. What about giving the citizens in town a break. A 5 minute ride took me 1 hour and 45 minutes. Now that's what I call conserving energy and peoples patience.

you can vote in person Saturday and Monday at the Essex County Clerk's Office, located inside the Hall of Records in Newark. You may need some valid form of ID. I believe all Millburn districts will be voting at Temple Bnai Jeshrun on Tuesday.

I have been a Millburn-Short Hills resident for more than 40 years and I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to our Millburn police officers, fire fighters, first responders and our OEM. They are doing an outstanding job of managing the response to the disaster that has caused so much destruction to our community and disruption to our lives. I especially enjoy the soothing voice of the officer who is recording the regular Code Red messages, keeping us informed. Thank you all for your effort to return Millburn-
    Short Hills to normalcy.

We are hosting relatives from Montclair who lack power. They told me that the public library in Montclair is open 24/7 to provide shelter and charging to residents. Perhaps Millburn might do the same in the event some residents don't have another option.

SH R - the library workers already get 1.5x for working on sunday, imagine the union rules if they have to work past 5 p.m. - 2x or 3x i think. I would rather sleep in the cold....

Haimoff on the ballot for Millburn Township Council. DO NOT...I REPEA....DO NOT VOTE FOR HER!! Write in anyone else...I chose Dan Baer. Write in Mickey Mouse, Superman or McCheese...anything is better. Be smart MIllburn/Short Hills - if you think they won't select her mayor again you might be surprised. This town is backassward.

Write in Dan Baer. We need to be consistent so there is a large number at the end of the election. If we all write different Disney characters it won't add up to a story anyone will report.
