As part of Millburn Gives Back, Deerfield students held the first annual Polar Bear Parade to help support families affected by Superstorm Sandy that hit the state on Oct. 29.

The storm devastated the state causing power outages and damaging homes, leaving families without a place to celebrate the holidays.

Millburn families and the school district jumped in to help out.

In December, Deerfield Elementary School raised $4,000 to help Sayerville students impacted by the storm through a coat drive and donations.
