Demonstration at Mall for the Chocolate Lovers
La Maison du Chocolat hosts its creative director from Paris, who showed off how to make a chocolate ganache.
If chocolate is your thing, La Maison du Chocolat in the Mall at Short Hills was the place to be Thursday afternoon. Gilles Marchal, the company's creative director and a mastery pastry chef-chocolaier, was on hand to demonstrate making a passion fruit chocolate ganache, which was served with a lemon pound cake. There also were tastings of other products from the company and a mousse Marchal had prepared prior to the event. La Maison du Chocolat has a seasonal store at the mall through the holidays.
