Looking to get out of work and on the train early Friday for the holiday weekend? NJ Transit is offering early getaway rail and bus service.

There will be extra outbound trains on the Morris & Essex lines, which serves Millburn-Short Hills, starting at 1 p.m. There's extra trains at 2:20 p.m. and 3:03 p.m. on the Midtown Direct from New York to Millburn-Short Hills, and an extra train at 2:28 p.m. from Hoboken.

There's also extra trains on the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast, Raritan Valley, Pascack Valley and Port Jervis lines.

Trains will run on a weekend/major holiday schedule on Monday. Bus schedules vary by route.
