In the middle of an interview with Town Administrator Tim Gordon today I noticed his pen.

As a writer, I tend to notice pens. It's the tool of my trade and I have strong opinions on the type of pens I like to use.

So I told Gordon I thought it was a cool pen, and he showed me how it's a calendar pen and can be adjusted every month. It made the pen all that more interesting to me.

Come to find out, Gordon collects pens. He turned from his desk to snag a box of pens behind him. He showed me some of the pens and launched into a story about how he had his father's beloved fountain pen fixed.

He also told me he's not the only pen collector in Millburn-Short Hills and that there are other's with more extravagant collections than he.

It made me start thinking about what other collections people in Millburn-Short Hills may have. It's worth a story because some people have unique collections.
