Egging Reported at Main Street Restaurant
A car was also burglarized at the Mall at Short Hills.
Millburn police is looking for someone who threw eggs at a downtown restaurant.
Someone threw eggs from a passing car at restaurant.mc at 11:40 p.m. on Saturday, according to police. The restaurant is located at 57 Main St.
Police said it was the second criminal mischief report at the restaurant over the last week. On Thursday at about 11:45 p.m., police responded to a report that someone had thrown eggs at the front of the business.
Car Burglary Reported at Mall
A Springfield resident reported someone broke into his vehicle at The Mall at Short Hills on Thursday.
Police said the victim parked his 2004 Ford Expedition at the mall at 9:30 a.m. and returned at 2:30 p.m. to find a number of items were stolen from the vehicle.
Taken were a laptop computer valued at $2,500, a watch valued at $250, a Blackberry valued at $300, a GPS unit valued at $150 and two pairs of jeans valued at $300.
Police said there were no signs of forced entry.
