Getting Ready for an Old Fashioned July 4th

Bike parades, softball, lacrosse, duck races and fireworks, all on Independence Day.

The Millburn-Short Hills Fourth of July Celebration has its own website. Everything you need to know about the variety of July 4 activities is there.

Millburn has a full day of activities planned for Independence Day, starting with a 9 a.m. flag ceremony followed by the parade of decorated bikes, trikes and strollers, and then lacrosse and softball games at 10 a.m.

The afternoon (which begins at 11 a.m. and goes to 3 p.m.) will feature family activities such as duck races, pony rides, a climbing wall, rides and a Revolutionary War Encampment.
