Thanks to Jen, I’ve been able to regularly contribute to Millburn-Short Hills Patch as a high-school columnist, and I am so appreciative of her amazing management of all of the writers, and her immense dedication to report the news and stories that mean so much to the entire township. I wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors.

Everywhere you look, every coffee shop you enter, every school event you attend, every major meeting that occurs, there's Jen, working with diligence and devotion to report the news for all of us.

Whether you know her as "The Patch lady", "The Starbucks lady", or just "Jen", I’m sure many readers have a story they would like to share, or would just like to send their best wishes to Jen.

Please feel free to add anecdotes, notes, or goodbyes to Jen in the comments!

Over two years ago I met with Jen Connic to discuss writing and shooting for patch.com.  At that time patch was a start up in the truest sense of the word. Patch has now grown from being a tiny start up to having over 700 sites, it’s also now part of the AOL family of companies.   Jen has been the face of patch in our community.  I’d arrive to cover a fire and the firefighters and police officers would inevitably say “You’re not Jen!”

I first met with Jen in a coffee shop where we would continue to meet on occasion to discuss stories or just touch base.  Jen has become more than just my editor over this time — she’s also my friend.   She gets me, and with someone as weird as me that’s rare.  She champions her freelancers and respects us to do our job.  She’s funny and kind and good at what she does.  I’m going to miss her like crazy.   Best of luck my friend.
