JCP&L Cancels Millburn Township Meeting

The company has cancelled all public forums, according to Short Hills Association.

Jersey Central Power and Light officials cancelled the Electric Power Forum on Nov. 29 in Millburn until further notice, the president of the Short Hills Association said.

According to the association, which was collecting questions for the forum, JCP&L cancelled all township public forums until further notice.

The forum was an opportunity to ask representatives from the company questions after superstorm Sandy. Moderated by Art Trevedi, the goal was to have all residents heard in an orderly process.

JCP&L could not be reached for comment.

Recommend NJ Star Ledger OPED in today's paper: Mayors must generate their own power. JCP&L is a big problem and I hope our town demands better.
