MHS Musings: So You Think You Can Idol? Encore
Make-A-Wish Benefit Concert will hit the MHS stage on Thursday, April 5.
Millburn High School's Make-A-Wish Foundation Club is putting on its annual talent show "So You Think You Can Idol?" Thursday, April 5 at 7 p.m. in the High School auditorium.
Students from MHS will be showing off their various musical talents through performances ranging from rapping to singing to dancing.
Just some of the show's highlights include Soulfege, the MHS a cappella group, an original hip hop dance by Kai Rapelyea and Hassan Syed, a cover of Sara Bareilles's "Gravity" by Eleanor Konrad, and a rendition of Coldplay's "The Scientist" from Evan Wolf. There will also be a bake sale as well as an iPod nano and more up for raffle to raise money for the worthy foundation.
All of the evening's proceeds will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This organization grants one "wish" to a child with a life-threatening illness. The foundation began in 1980 when a seven-year-old leukemia patient's life-long dream of becoming a police officer was made possible by a U.S. Customs Officer and the Arizona Department of Public Safety. After the widespread happiness created by granting young Chris Greicius's wish, Make A Wish was founded to bring that same joy to other children like Chris.
So come out and enjoy a Thursday night of wonderful entertainment for the whole family to help make more wishes come true!
