MHS Spring Play Tickets on Sale

Limelight Players will perform "From the Page to the Stage"

The Millburn High School Limelight Players will bring 18 literary characters to life in the original production of "From the Page to the Stage."

The show will run April 17 and 18 at the high school and showcases 18 literary monologues. Tickets are on sale now and cost $10 in advance and $12 at the door.

English/Drama teacher Suzanne Snyder returns as drama director after a four year “sabbatical”, and has decided to try “something different, something that could inspire all of us as human beings in these trying times.”

Snyder said she and her stage manager, senior Jamie Miranda, have selected a cast of actors for roles ranging from icons of classic literature like Jane Eyre from "Jane Eyre" and Holden Caulfield from "Catcher in the Rye" to characters like Father Flynn from "Doubt" and Vivian Bearing from "Wit," of modern theater. Each of the characters is connected by a thread that the audience will see as the characters are brought to life.

Twenty percent of each ticket will go to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. This is the first year Millburn Cares is teaming up with The MHS Limelight Players to perform in order to benefit the cause. Millburn Cares has supported the cause since 2002.

The student cast includes seniors Chadd Blaylock, Ariel Cohen, Sam Kubek, Matt Konrad, and James Feld; juniors Alexandra Fagan, Rebecca Fogel, Eric Frank, Erica Goldring, Ethan Lipkind, Ashley Rappoport, Sam Schoen, Becca Silverman, Noah Silverman and Teresa Wittleder; and sophomores, Jeremy Bergman, Holly DiClemente, Lauren Mandel, Melissa Rosenberg, Julia Silverstein and Corey Wagner.
