The Millburn Girls Varsity Cross Country defeated division challengers West Essex and Belleville at Branch Brook Park in Newark.

Millburn placed five runners in the top ten race finishers last Thursday, Sept. 27.

Millburn junior Corey Weiss placed first overall in 20:31 with Junior Maeve Flanagan (21:29) coming in third. Millburn also claimed the fourth spot with Junior Antanina Belzer finishing just seconds after Flanagan, in 21:37.

Tuesday Oct. 2, they will be face rivals Livingston and Mount Saint Dominic Academy, both expected to be challenging competition.
