NSFW? Story Slam Winner Discusses the 'V' Word
Humor columnist Deborah Goldstein wins the Studio B Story Slam with an exploration of a word that makes her — and others — uncomfortable.
Last week, South Orange's own Deborah Goldstein — she of numerous Patch columns and her own Peaches & Coconuts blog — brought home a prize for her writing, winning Studio B's Story Slam contest in Maplewood.
Goldstein blew away the competition with her completely clean (no profanity was utilized!), as well as anatomically, grammatically and medically correct discussion of the word vagina and the reproductive functionality of said anatomical part.
Yes, there were innuendoes, but we feel comfortable that this is suitable content for Patch.
Plus, it's really clever, insightful and funny. So we've uploaded the YouTube video.
What do you think?

Thanks so much, Jerry!! I've been waiting by the phone all day for Ellen's people to contact me. She must be a little busy.

I was going to title this "Maplewood Vagina Monologue" but was worried about copyright laws.
