Paper Mill Holds Auditions for Summer Program

Christ Church's annual rummage sale is Saturday, songswap is Saturday, the girls basketball team holds a clinic and B'nai Israel holds a gala auction.

 

1. The Paper Mill Playhouse hosts the first of two days of auditions for the Summer Musical Theater Conservatory on Saturday at Keane University. Auditions are not open, and an appointment is needed. Call 973-379-3636, ext. 2133 to schedule an audition.

2. Christ Church holds its annual rummage sale on Saturday at 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event supports the church's youth programs. In the event of snow, the sale will be moved to Sunday at 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Check the church's website for information.

3. RockN' Joe plays host to the Saturday Afternoon Songswap on Saturday at 4:30-6:30 p.m. Michael Carlucci, Glenn Mercer, Dave Weckerman and Ed Seifert (from The Feelies, Winter Hours and East of Venus) will be performing original songs. All musicians are welcome.

4. The girls basketball team holds a clinic for girls in kindergarten through eighth grade on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. to noon at Millburn High School. The event is $30 in advance or $35 the day of the clinic. Call Gretchen Distler at 973-762-0597 or Holly Graessle at 973-258-1719 for more information or to register.

5. Congregation B'nai Israel hosts its gala auction on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The event sponsors the Hedwig Gruenewald Early Childhood Center and features a number of different types of items. Tickets are $45 at the door.
