Readers' Choice: Your Favorite Preschools

Readers shower their love and votes on local preschools. And the winner is...

People love their preschools, whether their children are still there or have long ago graduated and moved on to elementary of secondary schools.

Perhaps its because pre-school is such a precious time. It is where our children first learn how to get along without others outside the family, where they express themselves with finger paint and macaroni necklaces, and where they often begin to read and build the foundations for the rest of their education. But mostly, they have fun.

School and life gets more complicated the older our children become. No wonder we love preschool so much.

All the pre-schools in this week’s Reader’s Choice awards got votes, and a few got more than 500 votes with several recieving more than 100.

The overall winner was the Hedwig Gruenewald Early Childcare Center at Congregation B'nai Israel in Millburn.

Other top vote getters were Our Lady of Sorrows Preschool, South Orange; The Thelma K. Reisman Preschool of Beth El, South Orange; Weekday Nursery School, South Orange; Millburn Cooperative Nursery School, Millburn; KinderGan, Maplewood; Temple Sharey Tefilo Israel Iris Family Preschool, South Orange;  St. Rose of Lima, Millburn.

Our commenters had terrific things to say about all these places.

We hope all the pre-schools were feeling the love this week!
