The Millburn High School Limelight Players will present the madcap musical comedy Thoroughly Modern Millie this weekend at Millburn High School.

Set in New York City during the flapper era in 1922, the play tells the story of the naive Millie Dillmount, who comes from Kansas for life in the big city. As the story unfolds, Millie finds herself conflicted between marrying for money and finding true love.

The show is based on the 1967 Oscar-winning film starring Julie Andrews and Mary Tyler Moore and was a Broadway hit in 2002, winning six Tony awards.

The musical will be performed on Friday, Nov. 18 and Saturdy Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the MHS auditorium. Tickets are $10 if you call 973-376-3600 ext. 455 in advance and are $12 at the door. For a preview, check out these pictures from a dress rehearsal.
