The Board of Education meets tonight, the final time before the school election on April 21.
It means it will be Janet Landau's final meeting on the board. She is not seeking re-election. Board President Samuel Levy and member Mark Zucker are seeking re-election in an uncontested race. Newcomer Eric Siegel is running for the third spot on the board.
The proposed 2009-10 school budget, with a 1.9 percent increase, will also be up for a vote on April 21.
The board meets at 7:45 p.m. in the Millburn High School library. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for the high school at 6:15 p.m.
Tonight's agenda includes a senior projects presentation. The agenda also includes the second reading, and approval, of 15 new and revised policies. The policies are available on the school district's Web site.
The agenda also includes the approval for submitting a project to replace Hartshorn Elementary's doors and hardware to state officials for review.
Finally, there's a resolution for PERS Pension Obligation Deferral on the agenda.
Like other school board meetings, there are two opportunities for residents to comment to the board.
