3) Buy your tickets today and come see Jake Gyllenhaal. He’ll be on hand to kick off the silent charity auction for Short Hills' New Eyes For the Needy, See for Change event being held Thursday, March 31 6:00 - 10:30 p.m. at La Pomme, 37 W. 26th St., New York. New Eyes For The Needy recycles used eyeglasses and sends them to needy people all over the world . Bring a pair of your glasses to donate. (617) 817-4662.

5) Local talent - tonight is the annual Pops Concert at the high school at 7:30 p.m. featuring Pops Strings, Chorale, Stage Band, Lab Jazz Band.
