What's Your Favorite Sushi Restaurant?
Tell us where you go for your California rolls, smoked sake and salmon roe.
Okay, admit it, the first time you thought of eating a meal consisting of raw fish, it sounded, well, unusual.
But that was before you tasted the velvety texture of fresh toro, the tangy flavor of wasbi, the crunch of salmon roe.
And then sushi took on a life of its own. There was the tender flavor of roasted eel, the light clean taste of California roll, and an endless array of specialties — including soft shell crab and sushi topped with peanut sauce.
According to a 2010 article by Food & Wine, America has become a sushi nation — with Los Angeles boasting of 276 sushi restaurants and Masa in Manhattan making 200 rolls an hour on a busy day.
But we know you don't have to go to New York City or California for a terrific sushi meal. Millburn, Maplewood and South Orange present an array of amazing restaurants showing off fish delicacies for local diners.
This week, Patch wants to hear where you love to get your fresh fish and why. If you don't see your favorite sushi restaurant on the poll, add it in the comments section. We'll let you know the winner on Friday. And don't forget to vote. . . .

Ok - A bit outside the target area - but the best Sushi around is Nikko in Whippany.

Clearly I'm going to have to try Zen in Livingston. I'm a fan of Taka Sushi in Summit. Very good sushi at very good prices.

Yuki Hana in Madison, the Sushi bar in the Whole Foods in Vauxhall (nothing imaginative, but very good for the basics), and Taka in Summit in that order.

I guess I would also say that we were fans of Taka until they stopped punching our loyalty cards and the portions shrunk.
