It was a packed house at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday morning for Ash Wednesday services. Those in attendance were marked with a cross in ash on their foreheads. The ashes, by tradition, are burned palms from the previous Palm Sunday Mass. A choir of students from St. Rose of Lima School, which is adjacent to the church, also sang during the service. Students from the school attended the service.
