Millburn High School weekly sports wrap

Blake Udland won the Group 3 championship at Holmdel Park on Saturday, clocking in at 15:47.80. It's the first group championship of his career. Udland will run in next week's Meet of Champions, also at Holmdel, where he enters as one of the favorites to win it. Teammate, Rob Stone placed seventh at the Group 3 finals and will also run in the MOC.

Boys Soccer:

Millburn's season came to an end in a heartbreaking double overtime loss to Chatham on Tuesday in the semifinals of the North II Group 3 state sectional championships. Todd Cohn made eight saves for the Millers, who finished with an 11-7-3 mark.

Football:

The Millers lost their seventh game of the season, dropping a 21-13 game to Plainfield on Friday night at home. Both Alex Schoen and Gabe Greenberg scored touchdowns for Millburn. The Millers play their last game of the season on Thanksgiving against Madison.
