Turkeys for Charity: Wyoming Church Brings Thanksgiving to Newark
Wyoming Church volunteers will bring the food to the Salvation Army to feed 400.
It was a turkey-lovers heaven in Wyoming Presbyterian Church on Wednesday. Volunteers from the church were preparing the turkey and sides for Thanksgiving dinner with the Salvation Army in Newark on Thursday. They expect to serve 400 needy families. Volunteers annually spend the week preparing the food and then they take it to Newark on Thursday to serve it. Newark Mayor Cory Booker attended a year ago to help serve.
