Meeting twice a month in the well-appointed meeting room of the Vauxhall Branch of the Union Public Library, local Toastmasters give “Icebreakers” or “Table Topics.” They “Get to The Point” “Get Organized “ and “Get Comfortable with Visual Aids,” all while other supportive accomplished speakers provide positive feedback and encouragement.

Toastmasters, not to be confused with the beloved kitchen appliance, is a nonprofit educational organization that teaches communication and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. There are more than 260,000 Toastmasters in over 12,500 clubs in 113 countries. Having a club with this type of support and international prominence is a distinct honor and tremendous opportunity for people in the central NJ area.

Toastmasters meetings are open to all, and prior to attending a call or email to a member is recommended to receive a meeting reminder and the agenda. Each meeting follows a strict agenda with a variety of meeting roles at all levels. At Toastmasters, there are opportunities to gain speaking experience that relates to specific career needs, to learn and practice public speaking techniques, and to sharpen listening and evaluation skills among many other benefits. One hour Conquerors Toastmaster meetings are held at Noon every 1^st and 3^rd Thursday of each month
