Sisterhood Temple B’nai Abraham Rosh Hodesh Celebration

All women are invited to join the Sisterhood of Temple B’nai Abraham  Rosh Hodesh celebration on Tuesday, February 28, at 7:30 PM at temple, led by Rabbi Faith Joy Dantowitz. Rosh Hodesh is the monthly celebration of the New Moon, according to the Jewish calendar. The Jewish calendar follows lunar months, each with 29 or 30 days, although the year is solar.  As we welcome Adar, the month in which Purim occurs, we will familiarize ourselves with the central female figures of the Purim story, Queens  Vashti and Esther, as we explore women’s voices and when to raise them to speak out for justice and equality.  It will be a special evening of connecting woman to woman with ritual, food, stories and music. RSVP to tbainfo@tbanj.org or 973-994-2290. For more information, please contact  Rabbi Faith Joy Dantowitz, fdantowitz@tbanj.org or 973-994-2290, ext 213. Visit the TBA website at http://www.tbanj.org/membership/sisterhood. The next TBA Sisterhood Rosh Hodesh celebration will be Tuesday, March 27 , at 7:30 PM, with guest speaker Rabbi Mary Zamore, editor of The Sacred Table: Creating a Jewish Food Ethic.
