Express Yourself Studios Announces its 2014 Summer Art Workshop Schedule/Artist Roster!

Express Yourself Studios located at 1877 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood has posted its 2014 Summer Art Workshop 2014 schedule.  The Summer Art Workshop program is open to children ages 5-12.  Participants will experiment with a variety of media in a fun and supportive environment.  Attendees are encouraged to use their imagination freely as they learn about Master Artists.  The Summer Workshop runs June 23 – August 29.

Workshop attendees will create 10-15 art projects per week.  The projects will be inspired by a different Master Artist.   The 2014 10-week schedule includes the following artists:  Piet Mondrian, Victor Vasarely, Pablo Picasso, Cartooning, Wassilly Kandinsky, Robert Rauschenberg, Carlos Merida, Sculpture, Henri Matisse and Paul Cezanne.

Children will learn about the Artists through discussions, examples, and art-making. Projects will include painting, drawing, mixed media collage and sculpture (relative to the artists).  An exhibition and reception featuring students' artwork will be held at the conclusion of each week.
