Family Fun Day has become a much-anticipated springtime event for residents of Millburn and Short Hills. More than 150 families attended last year’s event; event organizers expect an even bigger turnout this year. This year’s festivities will feature arts and crafts supplied by The Messy Artist, face painting, balloons, pizza, bagels, as well as delicious cookies decorated by children in the community and generously donated by Splurge Bakery.  Millburn High School students Anya Parker-Lentz and Joey Fambrini, the guest DJs, will keep the party going all afternoon.

Plus, the entertainment line-up is sure to keep kids and adults smiling:

10:00 am – 11:00 am            Stretch the Silly Man

11:00 am – 12:00 pm           The Lizard Guy

12:00 pm – 1:00 pm             Story Pirates

1:00 pm – 2:00 pm                Kidville Rockin’ Railroad Band

“Family Fun Day is a way for Garden State Good Cookies to give back to our community for the support it continues to show our cause at every bake sale and charity event,” said Elyse Dub, co-founder of the Millburn-Short Hills chapter of Cookies For Kids’ Cancer. “Since we began our 2014 campaign six weeks ago, we’ve raised close to $10,000 hosting eight bake sales and two fundraising events. With the help of the community, we hope to surpass our goal of raising $45,000 over the past four years. We look forward to seeing all of our neighbors on May 10th. Families are welcome to spend the whole day with us or stop by in between birthday parties, sports games or practices.”

Thanks to local community groups, Garden State Good Cookies are enthusiastically slated to host bake sales at Wyoming Elementary, Deerfield Elementary, Hartshorn Elementary, South Mountain Elementary, Glenwood Elementary, Integrated Preschool, Millburn Middle School, Franklin School in Summit, JCC, TBJ, Neighborhood House, The Community Congregational Church, Christ Church, Saint Rose of Lima, Little Learners in Livingston, and Alpine Montessori this spring.  And, private companies and individuals, including The Gewirtz Family, Mia Sinclair Jenness and KPMG have also joined the effort to host their own bake sales.
