Cora Hartshorn Arboretum Spring Gala Event

Cora Hartshorn Arboretum & Bird Sanctuary hosting “Into The Woods” Spring Fundraising Benefit Event

Short Hills, NJ (February 26, 2014) – The Cora Hartshorn Arboretum & Bird Sanctuary announces its spring fundraising benefit, “Into The Woods,” to be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at 7 p.m.  The event will take place at The Racquets Club, 162 Hobart Ave., in Short Hills, NJ. 

The gala will feature an evening of cocktails, dinner, dancing, and silent auction.  Being honored at the event for their commitment to excellence and dedication to improving the Arboretum are Tom Doty, Millburn Township Forrester; Stephanie Favia, past Arboretum board member in charge of the gardens and woodlands; and Leigh Gifford, past Arboretum board president.

“Into the Woods” is the Arboretum’s first gala event to take place in several years.  It promises to be an exciting and rewarding evening.  Funds raised will go towards bringing new programs and classes to the Arboretum for children and adults, as well as advancing the care and maintenance of the Stone House and woodlands to ensure that the Arboretum remains a thriving environmental resource for the community.

The Cora Hartshorn Arboretum and Bird Sanctuary (CHA) is a non-profit organization located in Short Hills, New Jersey. The goal of the Arboretum is to promote an understanding of the relationship between people and the environment through programs that integrate arts, science, and the humanities. The Arboretum provides many educational opportunities from school field trips, scout programs, family programs, adult workshops, summer camp, and more.
