“These networking events are a lot of fun and provide a very inviting networking atmosphere for all,” said Montville B.I.G. Pod Leader Aimee Schenkel, a health and wellness Arbonne independent consultant. “Some people come to introduce their businesses and services, others come to ask questions and learn about starting a business, and others come to make and see friends—most come to do all three.”

“I love getting together with other B.I.G. groups as it gives me a chance to catch up with friends and hear about cool and interesting businesses, meet non-members who are interested in learning about B.I.G., and it is a great Girls Night Out (GNO) time for all,” said Livingston B.I.G. Pod Leader, Jennifer Bronsnick, LCSW, who offer solutions for teen girls and mothers through her counseling practice.

“In addition, these informal get-togethers are a perfect way for women who are not members to learn about B.I.G., ask questions and meet members in an intimate setting,” added Bronsnick.

LIVINGSTON MORNING CHAPTER MEETING:

The morning Livingston B.I.G. Chapter meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m., at the NCJW Main Office, at 70 South Orange Ave, Suite 120, in Livingston, where Partner/CSO at 8fold, Jennifer LoBianco, will discuss “Discovering Your Inner Sales Person: Sound Strategic Marketing—Never a Fad or Trend.” Check-ins, introductions and an ice breaker will run from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., the monthly presentation will run from 10:15 a.m. to 11 a.m., and attendees are encouraged to stay until 11:30 a.m. to network. Those interested in attending, or with questions, may send a note to Jenniferbronsnick@gmail.com or call 646-522-2123.

LoBianco, a marketing strategist, will discuss how strategic marketing principles apply for both new and established via an example-driven presentation. Attendees will learn about how one’s brand/company, customer and competition intersect to inform a company’s marketing planning and tactical execution.

A self-proclaimed problem-solver, LoBianco said she looks at a business challenge from every possible marketing-solution angle as thinking, planning, developing, strategizing and recommending is her foray. She said that she loves to brainstorm with clients, really get inside their business, their minds, their burning desire for growth and that she thrives on their passion, internalizes it and creates marketing plans around it.

A marketing veteran, LoBianco, who received her BS from The College of New Jersey, a BA from Kean University, and holds an MBA in Marketing from Seton Hall University, has directed the strategic growth initiatives for all kind and size clients, from business-to-business and business-to-consumer, from international companies to local shops, regardless of the size or industry.

At last month’s meeting, Cara Maksimow, LCSW, spoke to a room full of women about “Reducing Stress, Increasing Success.” Her message was to increase optimism to reduce stress and become happier and more productive. She explained that only 10 percent of what makes people happy has to do with outside circumstances and said that while some of our happiness is determined at birth, a lot has to do with how we train our brain to see the world. Maksimow said that as busy moms, we spend so much time taking care of our families and businesses that we may not be maximizing our own happiness.

She used examples from her personal life to relate to the crowd and shared key elements of positive psychology and provided practical tools for increasing optimism each day.

Every month, Livingston’s B.I.G. group meets in town where members and guests mingle, network, learn and are mutually inspired.

Founded in Bernardsville, B.I.G., a rapidly-growing organization, offers more than 50 local community meetings each month across five states and ongoing regional networking events, as well as an interactive and informative website.

Members of the groups generally join a chapter when they have questions in their lives about whether they have a great business idea that they just never acted on; if they desire to grow an established business and build relationships with smart, savvy women in the community; and/or if they are ready to start making an income and growing their network. Attendance at any first meeting is free.

According to the B.I.G. website, the Ideal B.I.G. member is the entrepreneurial woman who wishes to explore her professional passion; have a balanced and more fulfilled life; wants a proven channel to make her own money, on her own terms; is looking for a positive and supportive environment to brainstorm and build upon her professional ideas; desires business tools to begin building a successful and viable business; wants access to other like-minded entrepreneurial women, with shared goals in communities throughout the B.I.G. network; desires valuable business information from respected industry experts via B.I.G.’s ongoing monthly meetings and special events; and wants access to ongoing networking opportunities (through monthly meetings and special events) that yield both personal and professional positive relationships.
