Sotheby's 5K lb Food Drive

Help Sotheby’s International Realty & Prominent Properties End Hunger In New Jersey With Their Second Annual Five Thousand Pound Challenge

 

Currently in New Jersey, there are over 850,000 people who receive food assistance each month. And 40 percent of those at risk are children. Prominent Properties and Sotheby’s International Realty are excited to help the thousands being affected in the community.

From June 1 to July 31, Prominent Properties and Sotheby’s International Realty are hosting their second annual Five Thousand Pound Challenge. Last year they collected over three thousand pounds for the local food banks, and they hope to top that this summer.

All donations can be brought to Prominent Properties offices. Harrington Moving and Storage will then take all the donations to the local food bank.

“We were very impressed with how well their One Thousand Pound Challenge went last year,” says Adam Lowy, Executive Director of Move For Hunger. “We are excited to see how Sotheby’s 5,000 lb. Challenge goes this year and can’t wait to see the outcome.”

 

While all nonperishable food donations are welcome, suggested items include soups/rice, boxed meals, peanut butter, caned vegetables/fruit, pasta/sauce, cookies, crackers and condiments.
