Farm and Fork Society Offering Two Canning Classes

Tickets are $65 each, with demonstrations taking place at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Sept. 19.

Two-time best blog award recipient Marisa McClellan will teach the ins-and-outs of canning your own food for long-term storage.

Farm and Fork Society is hosting two classes on canning Sept. 19 at the Kings Cooking Studio located at 778 Morris Turnpike in Short Hills.

The hands-on course will discuss the skills and techniques needed to master the canning process. McClellan will serve as a guide teaching guests how to preserve fresh produce in lidded mason jars.

Guests will be able to take home their own sample of pear vanilla jam and pickled beans.

Tickets are $65, and courses begin at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. There are a limited number of seats, so interested persons are asked to visit the Kings Cooking Studio website to reserve a space.
