NJ Transit Cross-Honoring Tickets Systemwide Through Wednesday

NJ Transit will cross-honor tickets and operate on an enhanced weekend schedule all day Wednesday due to weather conditions.

Due to Tuesday's storm, NJ Transit will continue cross-honoring all bus, rail and light-rail tickets and passes for the entire service day on Wednesday, according to the NJ Transit website.

All of North Jersey was under a severe winter storm warning from Tuesday at noon until 6 a.m. Wednesday. Areas throughout the region saw as much as 10 inches of snow.

According to the NJ Transit website, all trains will operate on an enhanced weekend schedule and all rail station buildings and waiting rooms will remain open, including evenings and overnight, through Jan. 27 due to the anticipated frigid temperatures.

The website states:

  • Rail Service:  On Wednesday, NJ TRANSIT will operate trains on an enhanced weekend schedule (normally implemented for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and Presidents’ Day) on all rail lines except the Atlantic City Rail Line, which will operate a regular weekday schedule.  Customers should consult their timetables for details.
  • Bus Service:  On Wednesday, NJ TRANSIT will operate buses on a regular weekday schedule.  Customers should expect delays or detours on their routes, particularly during the morning commute.

  • Light Rail Service:
On Wednesday, NJ TRANSIT will operate light rail lines on a regular weekday schedule.  Customers should expect delays in service, particularly during the morning commute.
  • Access Link Paratransit Service:  On Wednesday, Access Link service will be suspended statewide.  Full service will resume on Jan. 23 as soon as road conditions permit.
