A Funny Thing Happened ... At The Paper Mill Playhouse

Enjoy a show and dinner for two, at a reasonable price

Being able to spend an evening escaping to a Broadway show and dinner in the city is one of the reasons some of us enjoy living in New Jersey. However, such an escape can also set you back upwards of $500 for two orchestra seats, dinner, and parking. Not to mention dealing with New York/New Jersey logistics like traffic, taxis, and the general potential hassle of getting in and out of the city.

So if your escape of choice is dinner and a show but you’re just not up for dealing with—or paying for—Broadway, consider Millburn. The Paper Mill Playhouse is currently partnering with two local restaurants and offering dinner and a show for two people for $150.

"A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" opens March 16.  Funny show. Great escape. No, it’s not Nathan Lane, but it’s still funny. And if you do the “Entrees and Encores” package, your $150 also gets you dinner for two at either Martini’s (yummy food, great drinks, upscale bar atmosphere) or Osteria Mediterrania (from France to Israel, all sides of the Mediterranean represented in the fresh and healthy menu), both in downtown Millburn.

The offer includes a limited pre-theater dinner menu for two at either restaurant, and two orchestra tickets for that evening's performance at Paper Mill Playhouse. You do get to pick your seats, but it’s only available for Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday evening performances. Also, note that the cost does not include alcoholic beverages or gratuity at the restaurants, so you need to plan to buy your own martinis.

For more information and/or to purchase the package and acquire your dinner voucher and theater tickets, contact The Paper Mill Playhouse Box Office at 973-376-4343.
