“We want this be a late night destination that is a safe, bright place to hang out for adults and kids,” says Rothberg, a Short Hills resident who has three children in Millburn's school system.

The 1,300 square foot store in Summit has five self-service yogurt machines and a help-yourself buffet of fruit and candy toppings. (The yogurt and toppings are weighed before you’re charged.)

The furniture is cool and modern, with brightly colored vinyl chairs that make the space look like a club. Customers tend to linger while they eat, and  “lines are out the door,” says Rothberg.

Rothberg said he's also in early talks with other shop owners and the landord for an outdoor courtyard in the area around Sono and behind Red Mango, Tinga and Bagel Chateau.

“We’re excited to be part of the reinvigoration of downtown,” says Rothberg.
