A Saturday night in Millburn turned into a New York fashion show as the Red Carpet Boutique celebrated its grand opening in its new space.
Police blocked off Main Street for a crowd of over 700 people at the end of last month. The event hosted a fashion show in a tent that spanned Main Street from Millburn Avenue to Taylor Road.
The runway was the centerpiece of the night where the Red Carpet Boutique's daytime and evening dresses and bridal gowns were displayed in a fashion show.
Co-owner Gina Colabelli said people told her, "I feel like I'm in New York."
The store originally moved during the summer to its new space at 344 Millburn Ave., which added over 4000-square-feet to the boutique.
"We just completely outgrew our space," co-owner Roxanne Corvelli said in a previous interview.
The opening had aerialists performing in the store and tent, who poured champagne from above the crowd. There was also VIP seating and gift bags placed in red and white for the celebration.
Owners, Colabelli and Corvelli, said they were very pleased with the turnout.
"We are so thankful to have all the support we do," said Corvelli. "We truly are passionate about our business, and we look forward to continuing our success in our new space."
Red Carpet Boutique is a dress shop that carries dress lines from Faviana, Jovani, Terani Couture, David Meister, Rina DiMontella and more. Bridal is also available at the boutique including Enzoani, Casablanca and more.
"Whether it's daytime or evening, we can dress you head to toe," Colabelli said in a previous interview.
The store has two floors of dress and jewelry, a large shoe selection and a dressing room for the bride and her bridal party on the third floor. The boutique can be reached at 973-258-0028 or www.redcarpetbtq.com.
