Walgreens Variances Get Zoning Board's Conditional Approval

Board proposes several conditions, including hours of operation and restrictions on delivery, for planned store.

The Millburn zoning board Monday conditionally approved a number of variances for a 15,000-square-foot Walgreens on Morris Turnpike and Millburn Avenue.

The board gave the green light pending a litany of conditions such as 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. operating hours and restrictions on delivery trucks entering the property from Millburn Avenue and exiting onto Farley Place, according to The Alternative Press.

Several board members expressed worry about the future of the site, but said concerns existed for whatever business would ultimately move there and the Walgreens plan addressed a number of the issues, the report said.

The Alternative Press  does not make clear who voted for or against the slate of variances.

Site plan review is expected in April, the report said.
