US Voucher Program Coordinator

New Eyes, a nonprofit organization in Short Hills, NJ, provides new prescription eyeglasses to the poor living in the United States and distributes used glasses to the poor in developing countries. The U.S. Voucher Program Coordinator position is a shared job with another employee. Successful candidate will work alternate weeks with job-share partner.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage the issuance, intake and review of voucher applications
- Enter applicant data into proprietary voucher system
- Issue vouchers and process reimbursement to eyeglass dispensers
- Prepare monthly glasses purchased report
- General office management (phone, mail, supplies, etc.)
- Supervise administrative volunteers
- Work with Executive Director to track voucher payments with respect to grant parameters
- Work with Treasurer to manage eyeglass budget

Ancillary Responsibilities:
- Work with information technology specialists (software and hardware) to maintain and enhance the various computer systems
- Building and grounds maintenance
- Bookkeeping tasks

Experience/Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years office administration
- Microsoft Word/Outlook
- Familiarity with Excel, Quick Books
- Ability to adapt and learn
- Flexibility in scheduling                                                                                                                                             -College graduate

Job details:
- 31 hours per week, 26 weeks/year
- Mon-Thurs 9-4; Friday 9-12
- No Benefits
- 1 week paid vacation plus paid holidays
- Reports to Executive Director
