All Aboard the Holiday Train Show at the New York Botanical Gardens

Annual exhibit features 1/2 mile of G-scale tracks and more than 100 all-natural replicas of New York City landmarks.

The New York Botanical Gardens in the Bronx are an extraordinary place to visit any time of year. But during the holidays, a special train exhibit appeals to train buffs, New York-philes and amateur botanists alike.

See a 1/2–mile track of G-scale model trains puffing through a botanical city. More than 140 New York landmarks—from Yankee Stadium to Rockefeller Center to the Empire State Building—have been constructed entirely from natural materials: nuts, tree bark, fruits, pine cones and leaves.
