Teaching Seniors Technology at MHS

A new club at Millburn High School helps seniors learn how to use their tablet, computer, cell phone or any other piece of technology.

Nearly 30 of Millburn’s senior citizens came back to school last week for an after school “Tech Aid” class.

A new club led by MHS senior Shiv Malhotra, has been organized to help local adults (beginning with senior citizens) learn how to use their own technology.

Monday's class, on Oct. 1, was the first of 8 classes being held at the high school this fall.

Over the next 7 weeks Shiv and fellow club members will help their “students” navigate their way around their ipads, smartphones, laptops and more.

This is the beginning of what the district hopes will be a great partnership between the school district and the community.  Club advisor is MHS computer teacher Dave Farrell.
