Millburn School Board Candidates Debate the Issues

Watch the candidates' openings statements at Thursday's forum as the six vie for four open seats on the Millburn Board of Education.

Three incumbents and three candidates will contend for four seats in the Millburn Board of Education election in November.

The candidates squared off in the first of two candidates forums Thursday night in the Education Center. Click on each candidates name below to watch their opening statements:

One of the seats up for grabs is a one-year term, the remainder of Jean Pasternak's term since she resigned in February to focus on family matters.

Wenik — the current vice president of the school board, elected to the board in 2010 — and Harrison, a current high school senior,  have opted to run for the one-year seat. She was elected in 2010.

Westfall-Kwong was selected to fill that open seat in early April until the next reorganization meeting in January 2014. He is running for an open three-year seat.
