BLUES @ HOLIDAY INN Concert & Dining Experience with THE CHUCK LAMBERT BAND in Concert

The popular monthly BLUES @ HOLIDAY INN Concert & Dining Experience continues to bring music lovers the opportunity to experience the best of the Blues & more in concert in a comfortable supper club style event on the 2nd Thursday of each month. The series brings to its new location at the elegant Holiday Inn of Clark, located at 36 Valley Road, Clark, NJ on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 7:00pm the acclaimed Jersey Shore blues guitar icon Chuck Lambert and his Band. The experience includes a choice of dinner entrée, chef’s choice dessert and a soft beverage. Additional bar service and event drink specials are available. Advance reservations are recommended.                                     The Chuck Lambert Band is headed by blues guitarist Chuck Lambert along with pianist Tony Tota, bassist Andy Toomey and Jay Battle on drums.               Chuck's musical education started long before he picked up a guitar. At age eight, he studied oboe and piano. Four years later his godfather exposed him to the musical diversity of Caribbean culture and encouraged him to play guitar. While in high school, he played bass and guitar in small R&B combos, rubbing elbows and jamming with future members of Parliament Funkadelic.          While attending Lafayette College in the early 70's, he was a member of the Tim McCabe Blues Gang. The band's primary function was that of a backup band for touring blues legends on the East Coast college circuit. It was then that he was able to play for legends John Lee Hooker, J.B. Hutto and Screamin' Jay Hawkins. He also gained valuable exposure playing college parties and small clubs in the Delaware River Valley.                                                   Most recently, Chuck has been playing guitar and singing his blues for crowds up and down the Jersey Shore, Philadelphia and metropolitan New York areas while always returning to play venues in his home town of Red Bank, NJ. As a member of the Panama Chapel Band, The Cal Vetrane Blues Band, and a guest artist with Herd of Blues, The Tonemasters and Terraplane Blues, he has lent his vocal talents and guitar to many a fantastic night.                              Chuck has led the band as they opened for Little Feat and Kenny Wayne Shepard and performed at many festivals over the years, including the 2004 and 2003 Riverhead Blues Festivals; the 2002 and 2001 Red Bank Jazz & Blues Festivals; the Riverfest 2000 Food and Music Festival; several Blues, Brews and BBQ Festivals at Six Flags Great Adventure; the Clearwater Festival at Sandy Hook; the Jazz in the Park Series in Red Bank; Absolut's Sounds of the City Series at NJPAC in Newark; the Ronald McDonald House Blues Benefit at Red Hot& Blue in Cherry Hill; several of the Westfield Jazz & Blues Festivals and numerous other concert events. Chuck Lambert has earned the spotlight and is righteously titled BLUESMAN.                                                                Tickets are priced at $39.95 per person including choice of dinner entrée, chef’s choice dessert & a soft beverage. Additional bar service and event drink specials are available. Doors open at 6:30pm for seating and dinner service. Showtime is 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
